The most common questions before hiring a humanoid robot

Before their first humanoid robot rental, every prospective client has the same questions: how much does it cost, who controls the robot, how long does it last and what happens when something goes wrong. In this article we have gathered the most common questions we receive and answer them directly, without marketing padding and without exaggerated promises.

How much does it cost to hire a humanoid robot?

Hiring MONTARI (Unitree G1) starts from 1 000 € per day with an operator for a multi-day rental, NOVA (Unitree G1 EDU) for development and testing from 1 500 € per day with an operator, both prices excluding VAT. The operator is always part of the hire. A single-day event, the scenario and transport are priced according to the quote, and for a longer deployment the daily rate goes down.

Every rental comes with a refundable deposit. Transport is arranged separately according to the location, which is why we always assess it individually for a specific order. We will prepare a quote on request at info@robotrental.sk.

Which robot can I hire?

We offer several models, each suited to a different type of event. Do not try to guess on your own when choosing, we are happy to advise according to the goal and environment of the event.

Who controls the robot and does it need its own staff?

A humanoid robot is not a fully autonomous machine you put in a corner to look after itself. At an event the robot is always accompanied by an experienced operator who controls it, triggers the planned scenarios and reacts to the situation in real time.

For you this means you do not have to arrange operation or train your people. The operator is part of the deployment and makes sure the robot works safely and according to the scenario. Your job is to provide the purpose of the event and the space, the rest is up to us.

How long can the robot keep working and what about battery life?

This is a question where reality needs to be made clear. A humanoid such as the Unitree G1 has a battery life of roughly two hours in active operation, although the marketing figures quote higher values in standby mode. Real operation under load is therefore shorter.

In practice this is not a problem, because the robot does not work continuously for eight hours straight. The batteries can be swapped quickly, a swap takes only a few tens of seconds, so the activation runs in cycles with short breaks. We plan for this in advance when planning the programme.

Is the robot safe around people and children?

Safety is a priority when deploying among people. The robot always performs under the supervision of an operator who can stop it immediately, and the performance takes place in a defined zone at a distance from the audience wherever the scenario requires it.

A humanoid is technology that moves, which is why we treat it with respect just like any other event technology. With correct deployment and by following the operator's instructions, interaction with the audience is safe, including events for families and children.

What can the robot really do and what should I not expect from it?

Today's humanoids can walk, gesture, dance, greet the audience and act out prepared scenarios that look impressive and create a strong wow moment. They are an excellent attraction that draws attention and generates shareable content.

At the same time, expectations need to be realistic. The robot is not a replacement for a waiter or a fully-fledged host, it cannot handle unlimited free conversation like a person and it does not work entirely on its own. It works best as a well-thought-out attraction within a scenario, not as a universal employee.

How does the rental work and where do I order it?

The process is simple. You contact us with an idea of the event, we recommend a suitable model and scenario, and we agree the date, price, transport and deposit. On the day of the event we bring the robot, the operator prepares it and performs the agreed programme.

It does not pay to delay the order. Attractive dates, especially during the trade fair and corporate event season, get booked up in advance, so the sooner you contact us, the more certain you can be that the robot will be free on the given day.
