Energy management

Industrial energy management and energy optimisation.

You have a boiler, CHP, solar PV, a heat pump and perhaps storage too, but each one runs on its own? We bring your sources and loads together under one control system that schedules energy generation and consumption to cost you as little as possible.

The savings are not in metering. They are in control.

In many companies, energy management stops at metering and a monthly report. You can see how much you used, but not what to do about it. Real savings only appear when a control system continuously decides which source should run, when to charge storage and when it is better to buy energy in or defer consumption. The difference between reporting and control is the difference between knowing about a loss and not paying for it.

Industrial sites today often run a mix of sources: gas boilers, CHP units, solar PV, heat pumps, thermal storage and battery storage. We supply control and optimisation systems that tie them together and schedule the generation of electricity, heat and cooling based on demand forecasts, energy prices and equipment status. We use mathematical models, simulation and artificial intelligence methods. The control also takes into account planned maintenance of the sources, process constraints and heat supply requirements, so optimisation never puts operations at risk.

We have deployed these solutions in both the energy sector and industry. For example, optimising a CHP plant at a district heating station, where the maintenance schedule of the units was linked directly to the scheduling of their output, or reducing emissions at a waste incinerator by adjusting the combustion process. We also carry out energy audits, supply battery storage and service solar PV and storage systems throughout their operating life. We work in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

What energy management covers.

Energy generation optimisation

Scheduling the output of boilers, CHP units and heat pumps according to demand, energy prices and fuel costs.

Renewables integration

Solar PV, wind and heat pumps combined with conventional sources under one control system that stops them working against each other.

Storage and battery systems

Low and high capacity storage with lithium titanate cells, plus thermal and cooling storage to smooth out peaks.

Energy management and monitoring

Data collection from electricity, heat and gas meters, including via M-Bus and mobile networks. Consumption overviews by site, line and shift.

Energy audits

Consumption analysis, identification of losses and proposed measures with an economic assessment to support investment decisions.

Emissions and combustion

Combustion process optimisation that cuts CO, TOC and NOx at the source. Turnkey instrumentation, control and visualisation.

Frequently asked questions.

Did not find your answer? Write to us and we will reply within 24 hours.

What is energy management in an industrial company?

It is the systematic metering, evaluation and control of energy consumption and generation. ISO 50001 provides the organisational framework. We supply the technical side: metering, data and a control system that genuinely optimises energy consumption and generation.

How much can energy optimisation save?

It depends on the mix of sources, the consumption profile and how the plant is controlled today. The greatest potential is usually where several sources run without joint control or where storage is not being used. We give a specific estimate after an audit and simulation, not a guess.

How much does an energy management system cost?

The price depends on the number of sources and metering points, whether additional meters are needed and the scope of optimisation. Monitoring is the cheaper first step, and optimised control builds on it. We give a fixed price after the technical concept.

Do you also supply battery storage?

Yes, low and high capacity battery storage with lithium titanate (LTO) cells, which tolerate fast charging and a high number of cycles. We design the storage for its purpose, for example peak shaving or storing solar PV output. We also service it after commissioning.

Can you bring solar PV, CHP and boilers under one control system?

Yes, that is the core of our work. On top of the existing source control systems we add a supervisory optimisation system that schedules output according to demand, energy prices and equipment status. The original source control stays in place; the only change is who gives it its setpoints.

Do you carry out energy audits?

Yes. An energy audit maps consumption, losses and savings opportunities and proposes measures with an economic assessment. Unlike a purely paper audit, we can also implement the recommended measures technically.

Describe your energy sources and consumption.

Send us a list of your energy sources, your approximate annual electricity and heat consumption and what you want to improve. We will get back to you within 24 hours with an initial proposal and a free consultation.
