Mechanical engineering

Mechanical engineering automation.

We help engineering companies produce more with the same number of people. We robotise assembly, screwdriving, dispensing and handling, monitor CNC machines and turn the data into OEE you can actually run production by.

Less manual work, more confidence in quality.

Mechanical engineering automation mainly solves two problems: a shortage of people and the inconsistent quality of manual operations. Assembly, screwdriving, applying sealants and lubricants, loading parts into machines and dimensional checks can all be handed over to a robot or a special-purpose machine that works the same way on every shift. The result is a stable cycle time, less scrap and people who can focus on machine set-up and inspection instead of monotonous work.

Since 1993 we have delivered to engineering companies, for example, a robotic cell for fitting bearings into gearboxes, where the robot selects parts of the required tolerance based on a recipe from a database and a camera checks every step. We have built automatic screwdriving stations with sealant dispensing and breakaway torque checks, a riveting rig protected by a light curtain, robotic depalletising with 3D vision for a furniture packing line and machining monitoring on CNC machines with central data collection for online OEE.

We combine industrial robots behind fencing with collaborative robots that work alongside the operator. For small batches we design cells with fast changeover via recipes and interchangeable grippers. Every cell comes with a risk assessment, documentation and operator training, so your maintenance team can look after it themselves. We work for manufacturers throughout Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

What we automate in mechanical engineering.

Assembly automation in mechanical engineering

The robot builds the assembly according to the recipe, vibratory feeders supply the parts and a camera verifies the assembly before the next step.

Screwdriving and dispensing

A screwdriver and a sealant or lubricant dispenser mounted directly on the robot. Tightening torques and test results are recorded against the serial number.

CNC machine tending

The robot loads and unloads workpieces, so the machine keeps running through breaks and the night shift without a dedicated operator.

3D depalletising and bin picking

A robot with 3D vision picks randomly placed parts from a pallet or bin and changes its own gripper to suit the part type.

Machine data collection and OEE

Monitoring of machining and machine states, central data collection and online analysis of OEE, downtime and faults.

Machine modifications and safety

Adding a new operation to an existing machine, light curtains, safety relays and upgrading electrical equipment to current standards.

Frequently asked questions.

Did not find your answer? Write to us and we will reply within 24 hours.

Does automation pay off for a smaller engineering company too?

Yes, if the operation is repetitive and can be clearly described. It often starts with one robot at a CNC machine or one assembly station. We work out the payback with you from the number of shifts, labour costs and scrap rate.

How much does a robotic assembly station cost?

It depends on the number of operations, part types, grippers, feeders and quality checks. Simple machine tending is a different investment from assembly with screwdriving and a camera. We give a fixed price after the technical concept.

Collaborative or industrial robot?

A collaborative robot suits lower payloads, slower cycle times and work alongside people. For heavy parts and short cycle times, an industrial robot behind fencing or with a rotary table is more efficient. We decide based on the risk assessment and cycle time.

How do you measure OEE on older machines?

We add state sensing and part counting to the machine, or read data directly from its control system. The data goes to a central database, where availability, performance and quality are calculated and you can see the causes of downtime.

Can you modify an existing machine or line?

Yes. We add new operations and part variants, replace control systems, extend frames and guarding and upgrade electrical equipment to current standards, including documentation for certification.

Who services the robots and cells?

We do. We provide warranty and post-warranty service, contract service with 24/7 standby, remote access and spare parts for robots, grippers, sensors and drives.

Which operation do you want to automate?

Send us a drawing or photo of the part, the number of parts per shift and a short description of how it is done today. We will get back to you within 24 hours with an initial solution estimate and a free consultation.
