At a trade fair, hundreds of stands compete for a few seconds of attention. A humanoid robot that shakes hands and poses for photos stops visitors in the aisle and gives your sales team a reason to start a conversation. Short, regular appearances work best, for example on the hour, with free movement around the stand in between.

Decide in advance what the robot should do on your stand. Drawing people in, opening a conversation, handing out a sample or creating a photo for social media are different goals, and each needs a slightly different script. The operator then controls the robot so that it helps your sales staff rather than getting in their way.

Designing a stand for the robot

The robot does not need a large stand, it needs a well-planned one. Check these points when you order your stand build.

• A clear area of about 3 × 3 metres, not blocked by furniture or a counter
• A flat floor: thin carpet is fine, a high raised platform is not
• A 230 V socket and space for the transport case and charging
• A vehicle entry permit for the operator's car during build-up
• A performance schedule that the whole stand team knows

Tech companies, universities and students

Brno has a strong technology and university scene. At a technology event, a hackathon or a faculty open day, the robot shows how far humanoid robotics has come and where its limits still are. The operator is happy to explain how the robot perceives space and how it is controlled, in English if your audience is international.

Which robot for a Brno event

For an indoor trade fair, exhibition or conference we recommend the humanoid MONTARI (Unitree G1). It is roughly the height of a child, shakes hands, dances and looks striking in photos. The robot dog ORYX (Unitree Go2) suits the outdoor areas of the exhibition grounds, a campus or an open-air student event. For a larger exhibit with indoor and outdoor areas, we can deploy both.

There and back in one day

The drive from Bratislava takes about an hour and a half. We arrive roughly an hour before the first appearance, unpack the robot, check the floor and go through the programme with your contact person. We usually do not need an overnight stay for the operator, so transport costs less than for cities further away.

At a trade fair, follow the exhibition grounds' rules for vehicle access and build-up. Entry permits are issued by the organiser to exhibitors, so we will ask you to arrange one for the operator's car. Brno is also a convenient stop on the way to Prague or Olomouc, and combining dates means the journey is paid only once.

Robot hire starts from 1 000 € per day with an operator for multi-day hire, excluding VAT. Single-day events, the script and transport are priced in the quote. We send a quote including transport from Bratislava within 24 hours. The invoice is issued by the Slovak company Montari s. r. o., and coordination with our team is possible in English. The robot's spoken lines are prepared in advance in the language of your event.

For a multi-day trade fair, multi-day hire is the better choice and transport is paid only once, because the robot stays at the exhibition grounds for the whole event.
