Robot for shopping centres

Robot for shopping centres: hire a humanoid robot

A robot for shopping centres is an attraction that stops people in the mall and brings them to a stand, a store or an event. The humanoid works on Black Friday, over Christmas and at the opening of a new store, and turns an ordinary shopping day into a reason to come.

From 1 000 € / day with an operator for multi-day rental, with an operator, excluding VAT. Single-day event, script and transport quoted individually.

Robot for shopping centres: hire a humanoid robot

What the robot does in a shopping centre

The humanoid MONTARI stands in the main mall or by the entrance, shakes hands, dances and poses for photos. It creates a cluster of people that attracts more. The operator directs it to the promotional stand, to the store with the offer or to the stage with the centre's programme.

The robot dog ORYX walks through the mall, stops by the stores and suits escorting children's programmes or Santa Claus. Both robots can carry the branding of the centre or a tenant.

  • A magnet in the mall: photos, videos and stopping the flow of shoppers
  • Redirecting people to a promotional stand, a store or the stage
  • Seasonal campaigns: Black Friday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, back to school
  • The opening of a new store or a renovated part of the centre
  • A programme for children during the holidays and at weekends

Why it works in retail

A shopping centre competes with e-shops for a reason to come in person. The robot is a reason that cannot be clicked. People stop, film a video and share it, which grows the centre's reach without paid advertising.

For tenants the robot is a practical tool. It stops people right at their stand or store and extends the time they spend there. The promotional team thus has more conversations and hands out more samples or coupons.

In the season when everyone is fighting for attention, the robot breaks through. On Black Friday and before Christmas the mall is full and an ordinary stand gets lost. A robot in the campaign's branding cannot get lost.

Where and when the robot fits

It works best in blocks during peak times: Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday, the weeks before Christmas. We plan a multi-day deployment during a campaign so that the robot always works in the strongest hours.

  • The main mall or atrium of the centre at the time of highest footfall
  • The entrance zone at a store opening or a grand opening
  • The centre's stage during a seasonal programme
  • The promotional stand of a tenant or a campaign partner
  • The outdoor area in front of the centre in dry weather

How the rental works

We deliver, set up and operate the robot. The operator controls the movement through the mall, keeps a safe distance from shoppers and coordinates with the centre's marketing or the tenant's promotional team.

The humanoid's battery lasts approximately two hours of active operation, after which the operator swaps it for a charged one. We plan an all-day programme in blocks. The robot needs a flat area of approximately 3 × 3 metres with no stairs or escalators. Outdoors in front of the centre it works only in dry conditions.

Robot hire starts from 1 000 € per day with an operator for multi-day rentals, excluding VAT. A one-day event and transport are priced in the quote.

What to prepare

  • A spot in the mall or the atrium with a flat 3 × 3 metre area
  • Access to a power socket and a back-of-house space for battery charging
  • The consent of the centre management to the robot's movement and a time schedule
  • The campaign's or the tenant's branding in advance if the robot is to carry a logo
  • A contact for the person from marketing who will coordinate on site

Frequently asked questions.

Did not find your answer? Write to us and we will reply within 24 hours.

Can the robot move around the whole centre?

Along the flat mall and the atrium yes, on a route agreed with the centre management. Escalators, stairs and lifts are ruled out. The operator chooses the route so that the robot does not block escape routes or store entrances.

Can the robot cope with the whole Black Friday weekend?

Yes, we plan a multi-day deployment in blocks with battery changes. We recommend concentrating the robot in the peak, when the mall is fullest, and letting it charge between blocks.

Can the robot be linked to the promotion of a specific tenant?

Yes, the robot brings people to the stand or the store and can carry the tenant's branding. In this way it can also be involved in a sampling event or a pop-up store.

How does the robot work with children during the Christmas programme?

Children are the most appreciative audience. The robot shakes hands, poses and performs a short dance. The operator controls the distance and the pace. It suits being a companion to Santa Claus or a children's workshop.
