What the robot does in a hotel

The humanoid robot MONTARI welcomes guests on arrival, shakes hands, poses for a photo and performs a short dance. In the lobby it works as a living focal point where guests stop and film a video. At a gala evening or a corporate event in the hotel it appears at a precisely agreed time, for example at the welcome, the presentation of awards or the unveiling of a novelty.

The robot dog ORYX moves along corridors, on the terrace and around the outdoor grounds of the resort. It suits a welcome drink on the terrace, a wellness event by the pool or escorting guests from the car park to reception. Both robots are controlled by our operator, who keeps to the programme and looks after safety.

Why it works in hotels and resorts

A hotel sells an experience, not just a room. The robot is an element guests do not expect, and that is exactly why they photograph it, share it and mention it in reviews. For the hotel it is a simple way to stand out from competitors in the same location and price bracket.

The second reason is corporate clientele. Hotels and congress centres host corporate events, team-building days and conferences. A robot as part of the offer for organisers gives your venue an extra argument. An agency or a company chooses the hotel that can provide an attraction without having to arrange it themselves.

The third reason is content. A single deployment of the robot gives the hotel photos and videos it can use in a campaign, on social media and in its offer for corporate clients.

Where and when the robot fits in a hotel

It works best at a specific occasion with a clear programme: the opening of a new venue or wing, a hotel anniversary, a seasonal gala evening, a New Year's Eve programme, a wellness weekend with a partner brand or a corporate event the hotel organises for a client.

How the rental works

We deliver, set up and operate the robot. The operator is on site the whole time, controls the movement, communicates with guests and looks after safety. You set the programme and the times, we make sure the robot appears exactly when the lobby or the hall is at its busiest.

The humanoid's battery lasts approximately two hours of active operation, after which the operator swaps it for a charged one. We plan an all-day deployment in blocks with breaks. The robot needs a flat area of approximately 3 × 3 metres, with no stairs and no thick carpet. Outdoors it works only in dry conditions, rain and wet paving rule out deployment.

Robot hire starts from 1 000 € per day with an operator for multi-day rentals, excluding VAT. A one-day event and transport are priced in the quote.

What to prepare

Preparation is simple and can be handled by reception or the hotel's event manager.

• The event programme with the times the robot should appear
• A flat 3 × 3 metre area in the lobby or hall and access to a power socket
• A back-of-house space for the operator and battery charging
• Whether the robot will be photographed for the hotel's marketing, so we can coordinate branding
• A contact for the person who will coordinate on site on behalf of the hotel
