Robotic cells

Turnkey robotic cells.

We design, build and commission a robotic cell that fits your production. From the first feasibility study through layout, safety and grippers to programming and operator training, with a single supplier accountable for the result.

Robotic cell: a collaborative robot with a gripper and an operator with a tablet at the workstation

The robot is not the project. The cell is.

The industrial robot itself often accounts for less than a third of the cost of a robotic cell. Everything else decides whether the cell will actually produce: the gripper, fixtures, part feeders, camera, safety devices, control system and the connection to the line. That is why we do not sell robots from a catalogue but working cells with a guaranteed cycle time.

Our engineering team has been integrating robotic cells since 1993. We cover mechanical design, electrical design, PLC and robot programming, 2D and 3D vision and control panel manufacturing. You do not have to coordinate five suppliers and argue about who is responsible when the cell stops.

We automate assembly, handling, palletising and depalletising, machine tending, sealant application, screwdriving, quality inspection and packing. For smaller batches and work alongside people we design collaborative robots; for high cycle rates and heavy parts, conventional industrial robots behind guarding.

What a robotic cell can do.

Handling and palletising

Transferring parts between lines, palletising finished products and unloading pallets and bins, including randomly placed parts, using 3D vision.

Automated assembly

Building assemblies to a recipe from a database, feeding parts with vibratory feeders and checking every step with a camera.

Screwdriving and dispensing

A screwdriver or sealant dispenser mounted directly on the robot. Tightening torques and operation results are stored against the part serial number.

Machine tending

Loading and unloading parts on CNC machines, presses and injection moulding machines. The machine keeps running on the night shift without a dedicated operator.

Robot and operator together

A turntable or a collaborative robot lets the robot and the operator work at the same time without putting each other at risk.

In-cell quality inspection

Vision inspection built into the cell verifies completeness, position and dimensions of the part before the next operation.

How the cooperation works.

Consultation

We come to you, look at the operation or the brief and tell you what makes sense. Without obligation.

Concept and quote

Technical design, scope, schedule and price. Always with a reserve for what practice reveals.

Implementation

Engineering, manufacturing, installation, programming and commissioning. One team, one responsibility.

Operation

Operator training, documentation and a service contract according to how critical the technology is for your production.

Frequently asked questions.

Did not find your answer? Write to us and we will reply within 24 hours.

How much does a robotic cell cost?

It depends on the number of robots, grippers, the safety concept and the connection to the line. A simple single-robot cell is typically in the tens of thousands of euros, complex assembly cells in the hundreds of thousands. We give a fixed price after the technical concept, not a guess.

How long does it take to deliver a robotic cell?

Usually 3 to 6 months from concept approval. Most of the time goes into manufacturing the grippers and fixtures and the robot lead time. We plan on-site commissioning so that production stops for as short a time as possible.

Which robots do you use?

KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, Stäubli, Omron, Mitsubishi and Universal Robots collaborative robots. We choose the brand by payload, reach, environment and the robots you already have on site, so your maintenance team does not have to learn yet another system.

Is a robot worth it for small batches?

Yes, if the parts can be picked with one or a few interchangeable grippers and a product changeover is handled by a recipe. With frequent product changes, collaborative robots and 3D vision make sense, as they do not need precisely positioned parts.

Can you add robots to an existing line?

Yes. We can add a robot to a running line, connect it to the existing PLC and safety circuit and bring it into service in stages during planned shutdowns.

Who services the robotic cell?

We do. We offer warranty and post-warranty service, contract service with 24/7 standby, remote access and spare parts for robots, grippers and sensors.

Tell us what the robot should do.

Send us the part type, the required cycle time and a few photos of the workstation. We will get back to you within 24 hours with a first outline of the solution and a free consultation.
